I'm the Weekend Anchor at WAAY and WZDX in Huntsville, Alabama. I know almost every position inside a newsroom. I can produce, edit, shoot, and
of course write and anchor. I am proud of the products I shoot and edit
myself, I feel a sense of pride in them.
My journey in this crazy profession started in 3rd grade. A few teachers
asked me if I wanted to help with the morning announcements. I started
with working the cameras and progressed from there. I continued helping
in Middle School and started in front of the camera. I knew this is
where my future would be. In High School I learned how to shoot, edit,
produce, and anything else you can think of. One of the best experiences
at such a young age. Then came college, where I learned more about the
real life aspect of news.
have a passion for breaking news. Nothing gets your adrenaline going
more. Well, at least mine. I love giving my viewers the
information. I'm a self proclaimed social media nerd. I tweet and
Facebook a good amount of my stories. Social Media helps me get involved
in the community and meet people. I think it's an important aspect to
news and the direction it will head.
